The 9 Nights Golf & Diwali Holiday
ITINERARY (25th October to 2nd November 2008)



25th Oct Delhi
Arrive in Delhi at The Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to the 5 star Intercontinental The Grand or similar

26th Oct Delhi

Golfers will play the championship Golden Greens golf course, a links style course just outside Delhi.
Non-Golfers will proceed for a tour of some of the renowned museums of the city  

27th Oct Delhi
After breakfast head for a guided city tour of the Old City of ‘Shahjahanabad’, founded by one of the greatest Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later on a tour of New Delhi will follow. In the evening enjoy dinner with a local family and participate in Diwali celebrations
 
28th Oct Delhi
Golfers will tee it up at The Delhi Golf Course, home to the first Indian Masters an event on the European Tour calendar.
Non-Golfers
will go on a tour of some of the famous temples of Delhi. Dinner is organised at the ‘Bukhara’ restaurant, rated as the best Indian restaurant in the world. Enjoy the fire crackers to mark Diwali

29th Oct to Jaipur

Be driven to Jaipur. En-route lunch at the Neemarana Fort-Palace which is one of India’s oldest heritage resorts. Check into the luxurious with the 5 star Shiv Niwas or similar

30th Oct Jaipur

Golfers will play a round of golf at the Rambagh Golf Course which overlooks the picturesque Moti Doongri Palace and the historical Nahargarh Fort.
Non-Golfers will undertake an excursion of the ‘pink city’ during the morning and will be joined by the golfers for lunch at the Spice Court restaurant. In the evening enjoy a colourful array of traditional activities and a sumptuous meal at the wonderfully recreated Rajasthani village Chowkidhani

31st Oct to Agra
After breakfast a drive to Agra will follow with some sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, one of the Mughal rulers abandoned capital built in 1571, on the way. Check into the 5 star Jaypee Palace or similar

1st Nov to Delhi

An early morning tour of the Taj Mahal which was built by the MughalEmperor Shah Jehan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal in mid 17th century. Return to thehotel for breakfast and then proceed to the Agra Fort. Leave the hotel at midday for a drive to Delhi. Check into the 5 star Intercontinental The Grand or similar

2nd Nov Delhi
Golfers will tee-off at the Greg Norman designed Jaypee Greens golf course which earlier this year had Lloyd Saltman playing a tournament.
Non-Golfers will spend time at Delhi Haat - a crafts market showcasing India. The 62 stalls selling handicrafts are allotted on a rotational basis to craftsmen who come here from all across India
